You’ve heard it before: “Give a man a fish and you’ve fed him for today; teach a man to fish and you’ll feed him for a lifetime.”   Our goal in creating jobs is to provide workers with all the necessary components to succeed:  management training, operating capital, equipment, tools, and managerial structure.

We have a sewing center (named Savannah Christian Sewing) that sews all of the student uniforms for our sponsored children.  Sewing machines, materials and supplies were provided in 2005 with instruction to approximately a dozen women.  These women have continued to sew dresses, pants, school uniforms, basketball uniforms and even hospital scrubs.  They are self managing and self sufficient.  We will continue to help them expand employment and have plans for other livelihood programs.
